John's BIO

John is a licensed marriage and family therapist, mental performance specialist, and a certified executive coach. He blends his extensive knowledge of mental health and human behavior with his vast business knowledge and leadership skills to help individuals navigate their emotional and mental challenges, uncover their self-identity, acknowledge their natural skills, define their life goals and achieve their dreams on and off their field of competition.

Focusing on the whole self of those he partners with is critical to his work. His expertise in stress and anxiety management, developing healthy personal and professional relationships, finding an individual’s own voice, navigating personal and professional challenges as part of the BIPOC community allows him to create safe and trusted relationships with athletes and performers as they navigate their life during and after they leave the game or stage.

John has also been involved in the technology industry for almost 30 years. He spent over 20 years working in marketing and the Inclusion and Diversity team at Apple, Inc. He has had a front row seat in the development and marketing of some of Apple’s most world changing products. The lessons learned in this part of his journey have proven invaluable. He has great insight in creating personal visions for success, understanding how to connect with others at a visceral level, cutting through ambiguity to drive what matters, and developing individuals and teams to thrive personally while being highly productive. These skills allow him to help athletes and performers develop an identity that will open doors for their next chapter regardless of when it begins.

He has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 25 years with his wife and daughter. He is an avid sports fan and a die-hard Cleveland Browns and Guardians fan. He passionately supports nonprofits focused on youth development. In his spare time, he loves to explore different cultures around the world.
